From Leonardo to Lavino
Continuing Leonardo da Vinci’s research on movement and lever, the Abeling System is based on a mill whose movement is continually triggered by the release of compressed air and a number of weights carefully arranged on its arms.

The growth story
At home in an economically sound region
In an initial step, the Abeling System will be offered in the Province of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where the engines will also be constructed and maintained. A number of potential clients in and around Trieste have already expressed their intentions.
Head office and administrative staff will be based in Trieste. In addition to that, a team of technical engineers will be trained to maintain the engines on the ground.
A smooth supply chain
The cycle will not be affected by global supply chain bottlenecks since all parts will be manufactured in Europe. Furthermore, it will comply with the requirements of the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (“EU Supply Chain Act”).

The founder
Lara Djuric is the Founder and CEO of Lavino Energy Solutions. A few days before her final exams in Economics at the University of Trieste she registered the startup in her hometown.
Driven by the idea of standing up and taking action for climate protection, she decided to team up with the Dutch holders of the Abeling System patent and commercialise it. Trieste, the Adriatic harbour city with a centuries-old tradition in global trade, delivers an inspiring setting for this new venture.
During my international studies and summer occupations in many places including Dubai, Ljubljana and Sarajevo I had a chance to see different approaches to sustainable energy production, but I have not come across anything that convinced me more than the Abeling System.
